In the February 2024 Waterloo Math Contest for Grade 9 Pascal / Grade 10 Cayley / Grade 11 Fermat, iCALC's participants achieved outstanding results - according to incomplete statistics, out of 50 students who participated, 42 (an 84% award rate) received at least a Distinction award (top 25%), and 31 (a 62% award rate) made it to the national, provincial, or regional Honor Roll (top 5%)! Many students participated in the competition for the first time!
The school encourages and recognizes these students by awarding vouchers to each award recipient. The national Honor Roll is awarded a $100 voucher, the Ontario Honor Roll is awarded $70, the Ontario Central Region Honor Roll is awarded $50, and the Distinction award is rewarded with a $30 voucher, which can be used towards enrolling in courses at iCALC. At the same time, all students actively participating in iCALC competition training are encouraged to sign up for corresponding levels of math competitions, striving to achieve outstanding results in future competitions!
