Summer Marks is an OCT-certified secondary school teacher with a Master of Teaching from the OISE, University of Toronto. She currently teaches English and Social Sciences at a private high school in Toronto.
Summer brings extensive experience supporting diverse learners across primary and secondary educational settings. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University, with a minor in Philosophy and a second teachable in History, and also completed a semester abroad at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, where she deepened her global and cross-cultural perspectives on education and social issues.
Her teaching approach is student-centred and inquiry-driven, with a strong focus on developing students’ reading comprehension, critical thinking, and academic writing skills. Summer is passionate about helping students strengthen their English communication abilities while building confidence and independent learning skills.
