Dr. Li is the Founder and Principal of ICALC, overseeing the Math Department. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the School of Mathematics at Peking University. A math prodigy from a young age, he has won numerous provincial and national mathematics competition awards, including a silver medal in the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad.

With over 20 years of experience in mathematics teaching and tutoring at all levels, Dr. Li has been twice invited to teach math at Tsinghua University’s summer school during his early teaching years. In 2019, he and his wife founded ICALC with a sincere commitment to helping students in the GTA discover the beauty of mathematics and learn advanced mathematical concepts. Today, his students span across the globe, many of whom have also won numerous awards in various math contests.

Dr. Li specializes in guiding students to uncover the fundamental essence of mathematics (1+1), cultivating their logical thinking habits and problem-solving abilities. He teaches Enriched Math classes, high school mathematics, and contest math. He is a dedicated educator in the field of mathematics.
