Ms. Sophia is the Head of the English Department and an English teacher at iCALC. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) qualified to teach History and Senior English. She holds a Master’s degree in Language and Literacies Education at OISE/UT, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in English Education.

She has over six years of experience teaching English writing and specializes in curriculum design, writing program development, and university admissions planning. She has developed an effective writing instruction system that enables students to rapidly strengthen their writing structure, critical thinking, and communication skills, earning widespread praise from her students.

Previously, Ms. Sophia served as a Guidance Counsellor at a TDSB public high school, where she provided university admissions guidance. With more than four years of experience as an admissions advisor, she has successfully helped over 500 students gain admission to their dream universities in Canada and the U.K.

Ms. Sophia is willing to share her knowledge and skills so that students can further develop their potential.
